As I look forward to next weekend’s wedding at Shepperton Studios (which will be filled with lots of stunningly scented, velvet red, Grand Prix Roses), I thought I would feature a wedding we did the flowers for a month or so ago, when Lynette married Simon.
Lynette is a graphic designer, so the little details (which I love so much) were everywhere, with the most stunning “home made” wedding stationary I have seen yet!
A special mention has to go to Lynette’s very lovely friend, who apparently spent many an evening making beautiful napkin decorations. Her beaded flowers also decorated the gorgeous wedding cake.
When I first meet brides, some come with a favourite colour or flower in mind to work around, some just want to work to a set budget, and some have a very fixed idea about exactly what they want, and how they want their day to look. Lynette definitely knew what she wanted and came armed with a mood board, which I love, and also makes my job so much easier!
Vintage flowers have been a huge theme this year, and Shepperton got a slice of vintage glamour on Lynette and Simon’s big day.
Lynette had a bouquet of Hydrangea, Old Dutch and Vendella Roses with Eucalyptus running though it, and her bridemaids had smaller posies of the same. Her little flowergirl even had a cute matching rose wand!
At the Studios, half the tables were decorated with cream candelabra, plus pretty hanging gems, and the other half had goldfish bowls filled with the same Hydrangeas and Roses, plus added pale pink and cream Lisianthus. The whole look was finished with scattered fresh rose petals on all the tables, plus stem vases with single heads of Hydrangeas and Roses on the fireplaces – absolutely stunning!
HUGE congratulations to you both! You both looked amazing and so, so, so happy! Thank you for your kind words (below) and for choosing us to provide the flowers for your gorgeous day x
Simon and I got back from our honeymoon last week and I didn’t want any more time passing without thanking you for the stunning flower arrangements and bouquets you created for our wedding. Everything looked absolutely beautiful and was exactly how I had envisioned it but better.
I felt quite emotional when you turned up with the bouquets! They were just so beautiful. I had no doubt in my mind right from meeting you that you were going to create a masterpiece for our wedding and you did not disappoint.
As many pictures as I tried to pull together for you with all my mood boards, it’s still quite hard sometimes to try and re-create what someone has in their head. But you managed it completely and we have had so many comments on how beautiful the bouquets and everything at the reception looked.
We will be recommending you to everyone!
Love Lynette and Simon.x
